Professional Experience
Senior Mechanical Engineer | Dragonfly Energy
September 2021 - March 2024My primary responsibilities here included:
Designing, prototyping, and building all aspects of "Smart Battery" systems. This included building the manufacturing line programming with the embedded systems; PCB design; industrial design; and patent development on the intellectual property.
Designing, prototyping, building, and testing new lithium-ion battery cells. Working with a team of chemists, I built machines to create all battery components needed for dry deposition solid-state batteries.
Designing, programming and building robots to aid with the factory automation.
Mechanical Engineer (Robotics) | Hamilton Company
November 2014 - September 2021My primary responsibilities here included:
Designing, prototyping, and building robots and accessories for the large robotics team. My tasks included designing all components and assembly for manufacture, documentation, FAT, compliance, peer review, and more.
Designing, building, and programming robots for product manufacturing automation. My tasks included managing a team, programming PLCs and machine vision, logistics, electrical panel design, and quality control.
Mechanical Engineering Contractor | GNG Manufacturing Solutions LLC
October 2021 - ongoingMy primary responsibilities here include:
Co-designing an automated glue dispensing machine for use in factories
Programming motion and machine vision system to identify parts for adhesion; calculate where to dispense glue; and conduct automated inspection to ensure quality
Renewable Energy Technologist & Engineer | Desert Reseach Institute
January 2011 - November 2014My primary responsibilities here included:
Designing, building, and programming biofuel reactors. My tasks included running experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with professionals from different fields of study.
Designing, building, and programming renewable energy systems. My tasks included building a multi-source energy system of photovoltaics, hydrogen, wind, and biomass, measuring and reporting the data from the systems.
